Sara Neely

Fashion Editor

Sara Neely's first fashion experience involved pushing her feet through the bottom of trash bags, pulling the drawstrings over her shoulders, and proclaiming she made overalls at the age of 5. She is originally from New Canaan, Connecticut, and grew up submerged in the fashion industry- only a 45 minute train ride away from New York City. She currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her fiancé, Jason (you can follow their adventure to the aisle on Ruche’s blog!) Sara loves headbands, alternative rock, and wearing headbands to alternative rock concerts; she thinks she’s funny and appreciates irony even when it happens to her. In her free time, Sara enjoys eating ice cream, playing music, searching for vintage finds for her Etsy shop, 103elle, with Jason, and reading psychology textbooks for fun; she’s willing to multitask if ice cream is the primary recipient of her focus. She names Selina Lake- interior stylist and best-selling author of Bazaar Style, Homespun Style, and Romantic Style- and Adam Gontier- lead singer of the alternative rock band, Three Days Grace- as her greatest sources of inspiration. She wants to be an interior/fashion stylist and singer when she grows up… a little more. Sara currently documents her aspirations and journey to becoming a stylist on her blog, Study on Style.
